Water Infographic



*Due four periods from the assignment start date

Each Infographic should include information and related images about:
1) Global distribution of freshwater. What percentage is freshwater? Where is it found? (3.1)
2) Global distribution of salt water. What percentage is salt water? Where is it found? (3.1)
3) Predictions about how long our fresh water supply will last at current rate of population growth and consumption. (1.2)
4) Human impacts on glaciers and polar ice caps. What are our negative impacts? How long will they last? (3.4)
5) Human impacts on saltwater (pollution) and saltwater ecosystem. What are our negative impacts? How much damage has been done? (1.2)
6) Human impacts on fresh water and freshwater ecosystems. What are our negative impacts? How much damage has been done? (1.2)
7) Comparison of average personal water usage in developed versus developing nations. (1.1)
8) Strategies to reduce personal water consumption. (1.1)
9) At least one technology that can help reduce personal water consumption. Explain how it works to reduce water usage. (1.1)
10) Strategies and technologies to get potable freshwater to those in areas of water scarcity. (1.1/2.4)
11) Strategies and technologies to get filter freshwater to those in areas of water scarcity. (1.1/2.4)
12)  Water-borne diseases and health concerns arising from unclean freshwater consumption. (1.1/2.2)
13) Two to four other interesting ideas. not already covered.

*All research on the infographic MUST include references. Use only reputable websites and sources.

Assessment:
1) Use of class time. Completion of task by the due date.
2) Completion of research for all sections of the projects.
3) Completion of final infographic poster.
